As of August 2020, the video has 11 million views, and his channel over 500 thousand subscribers. His first viral video was his cover of " Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. In July 2007, he created his YouTube channel, where he began posting covers of popular songs. Over the next few years he would become proficient at several other instruments including banjo, lute, mandolin, bass guitar, violin, harmonica, drums and piano. Five years later, in January 2006, he began playing guitar. Turner began singing at nine years of age.
